Missions Involvement

We believe very strongly that every Christian has the mandate of spreading the gospel message "to the ends of the Earth" as commanded by our Savior Jesus Christ. We are to "spread the truth in love" and "make disciples of the nations," motivated by our love for others. We currently participate in many different mission programs, and every believer who comes to our church will be given an opportunity to serve in the spreading of the good news to the community and world around us.

Acts 1:8 Challenge

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the Earth" - Acts 1:8

The Acts 1:8 Challenge is a program for believers of any age. It is a simple vision designed to motivate Christians to become in the local community (Jerusalem); statewide involvement opportunities (Judea); Nationally (Samaria) and Internationally (the end of the Earth).

We have monthly meetings of our "Missions Action Team" where we formulate ideas and share visions with each other, in order to then begin mobilizing the congregation for action in response to our Lord's command.

Women's Mission Trip to Houston
July 20-25, 2008

Purpose was to glorify God while serving and showing the love of Christ to children and their families within the inner city of Houston. We worked with the North American Missionary, Ginger Smith who is also Executive Director of three Baptist Mission Centers in Houston, Texas. It was a time of both serving the Lord in mission work and receiving a blessing through the experience of touching the lives of others. For more information, please visit www.bmchouston.org

Baptist Men

Believing that every Christian is called, gifted and sent to witness and minister to non-believers, NC Baptist Men offer mission opportunities for all age groups.

At Lewisville Baptist Church the Baptist men are very visible in their many activities that they are involved with. We work with other missionary organizations within our church as well as the organization of NC Baptist Men and their outreach programs. We participate in their Disaster Relief programs which assist those who have incurred loss through natural disaster.

The focus of the Baptist Men is not only what we can build with our hands but also what we can build with our hearts. It is building a closer relationship with Christ through Bible study and prayer. It is building a stronger support system for our pastor. And it is building lasting relationships with each other through fellowship.

The Baptist Men are currently trying to assist our widows or others in need with small repair needs or small construction needs. Please call the church office if you have a request.
